You may notice a trend happening lately. Downloadable games are starting to get good, really good. PSN just got Pixeljunk Eden. The 360 got Braid. Now everyone gets Bionic Commando: Rearmed. You may ask yourself, why am I going to pay ten dollars for a reworked NES title? I am then going to ask you, why the hell have you not bought this game yet?
Bionic Commando was one of the best side shooters to ever come out on the NES. Bionic Commando: Rearmed is one of the best XBLA titles to date. Bionic Commando for the next gen is looking better everyday. This trailer shows the evolution from then until now. Its remarkable how things have come in the past 20 years.
Only in Japan can a simple commercial for a game appear like the second coming of Jesus Christ. Here is a quick look at the new XBLA and PSN title, Bionic Commando: Rearmed. I only wish I knew what they were saying. Maybe its like that South Park episode and they are saying “Protect my balls, Let’s fighting Love!”
The very anticipated XBLA remake of the NES classic has been delayed. The game was slated for a May release but will not make that date. There has been no new date set yet, but click here for the interactive communicator which tells you that the game has been pushed back and nothing else. I guess its a fun way to deliver bad news.
Capcom: What we have here, little yellow sister, is a magnificent specimen of pure Alabama Blacksnake. But it ain’t too goddamned beaucoup.
Movie anyone? Back to reality. Microsoft puts a size limit on all the XBLA games of 150MB. Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix and Bionic Commando:Rearmed have been granted special size increases. Early reports were that the games were to have limited graphics because of the memory cap. Fear not, these games are set to move ahead as planned. The previous changed occured when the 50MB limit was increased after Castlevania: SOTN went above the ceiling. The 150MB bar was set soon after its release.
