If you’re looking for a fun 2D shooter on the Nintendo DS, Big Bang Mini from SouthPeak Games is your answer. For a cool $20, you’re getting a good deal of quick pick up and play content. Easy to pick up and hard to put down, I had a blast with Big Bang Mini (pun intended).

There is a very fun feel to the game with its graphical style. Each of the game’s nine stages is based in a real location, such as New York City, Rio de Janeiro and Paris. The stylized backgrounds and great music give each stage a very upbeat feeling and you’ll enjoy watching what’s going on in the background as much as listening to the tunes.
