Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Official Announcement

That’s right folks, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is official and we will get a world exclusive look at Drake’s new adventure during the 2008 Spike Video Game Awards. Until then watch Drake walking through the tundra sporting a beard and talking about his next treasure hunt.

Uncharted 2 should be a monster title for any PS3 owner and gamers are looking forward to seeing more of this title so mark your calendars for December 14th at 9 PM to catch the VGAs live.

We also got some details from GameInformer:

We’ve got Uncharted 2: Among Thieves featuring 10 pages of world-exclusive details. Nathan Drake returns with a whole new adventure which revolves around the 13th century explorer Marco Polo and his voyages. The new PlayStation 3 title will add a free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay. Players can also expect all-new locations, characters and a focus on the game’s story.

Worlds Worst Fanboy Awards

All I can say is that in this group there are no winners really. This video had me rolling at certain points, like where the guy explains how the name PS3 would confuse consumers or the bulligerant guy who says Mario Party isn’t a party since it doesn’t have pinatas! Truly an awe-inspiring video. LOL

Will Wright gets the nod from BAFTA

Will Wright

Will Wright, of Sims and Spore fame, will become the first recipient of the Fellowship from the video games industry at the British Academy Video Games Awards 2007. The Fellowship is the highest accolade the Academy can bestow on an individual for their creative work.

Hilary Bevan Jones, Chairman of the Academy said “Will’s immense, creative body of work and his continued contribution to the industry make him a most worthy recipient of the Fellowship and being such a pioneer, we are thrilled that he will be the first person to receive this honour”.

There’s no disputing Will Wright’s influence on the gaming world. Everyone here at Loot Ninja would like to extend our congratulations. Hopefully Will isn’t the last of our field to make it into BAFTA.
