The game launched today to some mixed reviews. Some sites said it was awesome and some others called it a monumental disappointment. Its probably somewhere in the middle. Expect an official Loot Ninja review this weekend after we play through it. Altair sort of reminds me of a certain logo doesn’t it.

This is one of my most anticipated games of the year. Can’t wait until November to play this one.

It looks like you might be trying to steal the Holy Grail in Assassin’s Creed, as this trailer shows the Knights Templar plotting to kill you. The mention Altair wanting to steal their treasure, and they must protect it.

Assassin’s Creed is coming this November for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC. But what kinds of differences will we see between the two console versions? BBPS got a chance to ask that exact question of Mathieu Mazerolle, the Lead Engineer on Assassin’s Creed. Here’s what they found out:
Our goal is to ship the two versions of [Assassin’s Creed] to be within 5% or less of difference between each other. That doesn’t mean the PS3 is 5% “better” or “worse”, it’s really just an approximation and a statement that while the two versions are very similar, there will be (as there always is) small, hopefully inperceptible, differences between the two versions within a very small threshold.
Hopefully they can achieve that goal and the differences will really be imperceptible. If not, expect fanboy wars to ensue. I’m still undecided as to which platform I’ll be using to stealth killing people in the Middle Ages.
Here’s the latest news on the Assassin’s Creed front. The limited edition version was previously announced, but now we know what you’ll get to look at for your hard earned $69.99.
Along with the nice tin box, you’ll get a few Penny Arcade comics, a figure of Altair (the main character for those keeping score), a mini strategy guide, and loads of making-of documentaries.
Sounds like a fairly decent limited edition, but nothing spectacular. I like the little toy figures, so we’ll see what happens when I pick this title up.
UbiDay proved pretty exciting, with new trailers of Splinter Cell: Conviction and Assassin’s Creed.
If this is in-game footage, it looks much better than the screens we saw a few months ago, and much closer to the original trailer we say at last E3.
Oh, and this WILL be playable at E3 this summer.
