I really enjoyed the first Assassin’s Creed. Sure, it had its fair share of problems, but overall it was a lot of fun. Altair’s story continues on the PSP in Assassin’s Creed: Bloodlines, coming this Fall. The connectivity with the PS3 is pretty damn intriguing as well.
Anyone who is looking to get your Altair fix will get that chance and have the ability to do so on the move. Assassin’s Creed has been rumored to be coming to portable gaming and is now official. This could be a great step for mobile gaming and if it is as good as we all think, expect some more monster titles to come to your portable Apple device.
By all accounts we can expect very similar free-running gameplay across the ancient cities. The iPhone Assassin’s Creed conversion will be brought to us by Gameloft, which recently announced its working on the Terminator Salvation adaptation, so it’s set to be a big iPhoning year for the French developer.
Sony wasn’t kidding when they said the PSP was going to get some high quality titles. SCEA sent out a press release today detailing some amazing upcoming games for their handheld platform.
In the Fall, we’ll be seeing a PSP version of LittleBigPlanet as well as MotorStorm Arctic Edge. Harmonix will also bring Rock Band Unplugged to the PSP sans peripherals. Two new bundles were announced, including a “Lilac” Hannah Montana Entertainment Pack shipping in July. The big one though is an Assassin’s Creed Entertainment Pack. While no release date has been set, this shows yet another big title coming to the PSP.
Will this huge lineup be enough to catapult the PSP up the sales charts in 2009? I have a feeling it will, especially with the more hardcore audience. Nintendo seems to have cornered the casual market with the DS, so Sony is looking to take the hardcore market. Now if only they’d ship new PSP hardware with dual analog sticks.
Are you creative? Do you share a love of video games? Do you like dressing up? Do you have nothing else to do? Then maybe you can hang with these guys. Check out this fan interpretation of Assassin’s Creed.
Having trouble getting the Assassin badge in Metal Gear Solid 4 but desperately want Solid Snake to look like Altair? You’re in luck, as Famitsu has published a code to unlock the cool costume for you.
As long as you have the Metal Gear Mk. II, you’ll be all set. And if you don’t, you’re less than 20 minutes into the game. Shape up. Anyway, to unlock the Altair costume, go to the camoflauge menu and enter the code “aottrykmyn”. That’s it. Also, if you enter “jmsotsynrn” you’ll get the Type 17 pistol.
Go fire up MGS4 and give it another play through. See how much you get noticed by enemies with that costume. My guess is stealth goes out the window.
To go along with it’s hefty system requirements, Assassin’s Creed for PC will get a few extra missions to satisfy your killing needs.
According to a press release from Ubisoft, there will be four new exclusive types of investigations. So no longer will you be pigeon holed into pick-pocketing or sitting and observing.
I really enjoyed Assassin’s Creed, and would love the extra investigation types and missions, but there’s no way my PC will run this game at a high enough level. I’ll stick to the console version.
Its no wonder that PC gaming has become a relatively small market these days. The smash hit, no matter what some reviewers said, Assassins Creed, is coming to PC and you better have a machine that can run it. Here are the recommended specs:

Yeah. Basically you can spend close to 3 grand to play the PC version, or about 400 bucks to play the next gen console version. Does anyone else find this absurd?
If you are one of many who has been experiencing glitch after glitch in Assassins Creed, no worry. The patch is available now. The game will auto update, so just load and wait.
Don’t worry, I am not going to put any spoilers here.
My brother and I finished Assassins Creed last night and the ending left us very, very confused. Here is a great Q and A to what the ending meant and the future of the game. If you have not beaten the game yet, hold off on clicking on the guide, but if you have, this is a must read. It made me feel a lot better about the game once some answers were clarified. There is a wealth of information here and be sure to read all the way to the end. Actually, it made we want to play through it again.
This game showed up in our mailbox early last week and we saw some of the initial reviews for the game and they ran the proverbial gamut. Some sites gave the game a 10 of 10 and some a 7. Usually, the gaming media comes to an ultimate consensus but this time was an anomaly. If you ask five different people, you will get five different opinions. We decided to play the game at a reasonable pace as opposed to rushing through to give a review ahead of everyone else or basing your opinion on hype and trailers alone. Loot Ninja has decided to throw their hat in the mix. Read on my friends.
