Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Official Announcement

That’s right folks, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is official and we will get a world exclusive look at Drake’s new adventure during the 2008 Spike Video Game Awards. Until then watch Drake walking through the tundra sporting a beard and talking about his next treasure hunt.

Uncharted 2 should be a monster title for any PS3 owner and gamers are looking forward to seeing more of this title so mark your calendars for December 14th at 9 PM to catch the VGAs live.

We also got some details from GameInformer:

We’ve got Uncharted 2: Among Thieves featuring 10 pages of world-exclusive details. Nathan Drake returns with a whole new adventure which revolves around the 13th century explorer Marco Polo and his voyages. The new PlayStation 3 title will add a free climbing mechanic and stealth gameplay. Players can also expect all-new locations, characters and a focus on the game’s story.

Tokyo Game Show 2008 Booth Babes

As our Loot Ninja Podcast states every time we sign off, “always fade out in a montage!” What better way to summarize all of the beautiful booth babes at the Tokyo Game Show than a montage? Watch as the Japanese remind us of the once alive booth babe that is almost non-existent in North America. When will E3 be restored to its full glory? When will we ever be privileged enough to see beautiful women dress up as video game characters again? One can only hope and dream.

Which is you favorite boot babe?

Diablo 3 Wizard Trailer

At Blizcon 2008 we got a view of the newest class for Diablo 3, the Wizard. We get to see the Blizzard’s Wizard and all of her spells glory as she rips through some skeletons and other dungeon dwellers.

I have to say that the animations for the spells look really good and remind me of some of the original spells from the Diablo games, but I do enjoy the force field that repels projectiles and the ability to multiply. Another key feature that is being showed off is the ability to use the destructible environment in order to kill your enemies, like destroying pillars and having them fall on a group of skeletons.

Diablo 3 is looking tight!

Patapon 2 is on the Way

At the TGS we got a look at the newest installation of Patapon for the Sony PSP, watch as they show you the new characters and features available during a demo of the game in Japan. The original Patapon was highly addictive and a great game for the PSP and Patapon 2 looks to build off that very nicely by adding in more options, specifically multiplayer aspects.

Watch as the translator explains what is going on and the guy playing sings along with the game.

Japanese Fall Conference 2008

CHeck out the Nintendo lineup in this video, there are a lot of usual suspects but there is really one big stand out for me. At about 2:30 into the video you will see a clip of Punch Out! Not sure if they are alluding to a whole new game or perhaps a re-hashed version on the WiiWare but it is about time we get some Punch Out love on the Wii.

Square Makes a Bid for Tecmo

It seems more and more like this age of acquisitions continues to wage on with the latest installment being Square Enix taking out the money hat and trying to grab up Tecmo. I think Square Enix should stick to what they know best and continue to churn out Final Fantasy games that will keep their audiences entranced for years to come, just go finish FFXIII and FF Versusa and leave Tecmo alone. Although think of the potential… Tecmo Bowl + Final Fantasy = Tecmo Final Bowl Fantasy, where the players can use gunswords to gain yards and kick chocobos through the uprights.

Square Enix is seeking to take over troubled Ninja Gaiden developer Tecmo, offering to acquire a controlling interest by purchasing Tecmo stock at a 30 percent premium over the company’s August 28 closing price of 708 yen ($6.52).

Speaking at a press conference yesterday, Square Enix president Yoichi Wada said that he has been discussing the potential acquisition with recently resigned Tecmo president Yoshimi Yasuda as well as Tecmo board chairman and current president Yasuharu Kakihara since May 2008.

Tecmo’s board of directors has until September 4 to respond to the takeover offer. Square Enix said that if the developer chooses to reject the officer, it will withdraw its offer and will not seek a buyout.

Nintendo downloadable Wii content confirmed before E3 press conference

Samba
Looks like Sega has let the cat out of the bag a bit premature here in regards to Nintendo’s new downloadable content. In their annoncement about the new Samba de Amigo title they announced also that Nintendo Wii will have the ability to get additional song packs and content via download.

A download pack means that the Wii will be getting a storage device of some kind, seems innevitable now for the Wii. Guess Nintendo buckled and felt a need to keep up with MS and Sony on the HDD front after all. Also mentioned in the press release is that Samba will be “one of the first titles to offer” DLC, what else can we expect to be announced during the press conference. This could be big!

SEGA of America and SEGA Europe ltd. are excited to officially announce that Samba de Amigo - the zany new Wii-exclusive rhythm game coming out on September 23, 2008 - will be one of the first titles to offer exclusive downloadable Wii content. Kicking off at launch these downloadable song packs will feature three irresistible maraca-shaking tunes. The first fun-filled downloadable pack will offer:

I Want Candy - Bow Wow Wow
Are You Going To Be My Girl? - Jet
Mambo Mambo - Lou Bega.

Little League 2008 - Debut Trailer

This game looks insanely cute, but I am drawn to Little League 2008 for some reason. Perhaps it is the ‘pling’ of the aluminum bat that makes me remember playing as a kid. Controls will be a huge factor for this title, how well will it utilize the Wii motion controls and the DS stylus? Can you create yourself as a kid and win the Little League World Series?

Nintendo goes for the cute angle once again, let’s see if it pays off or fails miserably. There is one pretty funny part where one kid jumps up to catch a line drive and he has to be at least ten feet off the ground, I guess the kids are on the juice now a days.

Wii Fit + Playboy Model = Good Times

Finally a Wii Fit workout video featuring Playboy model Jo Garcia, good times! In case you aren’t sure who Jo is she is an adult model and Cyber Girl of the Year 2008.

Why make a video of a hot chick trying out the Wii Fit’s Hula Hoop exercise and ski jump scantily clad? Because they can and people will watch, that’s why.

Garcia has also has made videos of herself boxing and performing yoga with Wii Fit. Wii Fit never looked so good, this may motivate some to play some Wii Fit and get in shape, that or beat the bag.

Bioshock on the PS3: The Press Release

BioShock PS3 Screen 1

That’s right. Its official like a referee with a whistle now. Bioshock is coming to your neighborhood PS3 like it or not. Looks like ‘exclusive title’ gives way to ‘timed release’ again. At least PS3 users can expect some exclusive content and extras to warrant the purchase. I wonder if any Xbox users will be enticed to purchase it as well? More screen love after the jump.
