So I am currently working in a sales organization for pharmaceutical things. It sounds a lot more interesting than it is, I would much rather be playing 360 anytime. My job is a grind, nuff said!
Heavy Rain got unveiled today at the GDC and man it looks great, graphically the game is like playing a movie. The creepy feel of the game really comes through in the footage and I like the fact that they showed “Actual Gameplay” footage, I am tired of teaser trailers that show nothing. The fight system breaks down to the God of War style mini games but it seems to work very well in-game and the scene with the detective fighting off the knife wielding maniac looks awesome.
Ever wonder what the ghosts in Pac-Man thought about running around the maze and being chased by Pac-Man? Wonder no more, they were horrified and with good cause, watch as Pac-Man terrorizes the ghosts and hunts them down one by one. Good camera skills, I was dying at the cherry part, damn cherries.
I have had my doubts about the new Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe game that is being worked on because I think the two genres are just too far apart, but I have been giving it the benefit of the doubt. I had heard about the in-ability to kill the DC characters and the change that they will not receive fatalities but instead get brutalities, this I can deal with. I have seen clips of the Klose Kombat and Air Kombat and these do look pretty interesting but then we get to the Joker.
After looking at the latest screen shots that Midway released showing the Joker in action I have to say I have mixed emotions. One shot shows the Joker fighting against Scorpion and it seems that he is blowing him up and has his typical evil grin, which makes him seem even more evil and sadistic. Then there is another shot of him getting punched in the face with an uppercut from Sub Zero and he has the same grin on his face, this just seems odd. Does the Joker only have one facial expression, judging from the other screenshots when characters get punched or kick they do not grin happily. It is almost disturbing in a masochistic way to look at the screen shot of him getting punched and smiling. Read More »
I sat ere watching this a bit happy to see it on the WIi but sad that it has been downgraded so badly. If you have never played Dead Rising then you may not care that they have taken out more than half of the zombies that would appear on screen. IN the scenes they show in the mall those corridors would be full of zombies and it would be a battle to get from one side of the mall to the other. The controls are mediocre at best to me and look like a Resident Evil rip off. They did add some new characters it looks like, the mall cop with no hands was not in the original and I can’t remember that pink poodle either. If you have a Wii and never played Dead Rising then grab this one, but if you enjoyed the original stay away because this does not stack up.
Frank Caliendo and Jay Mohr lend their voices and the funny to the new Blitz the League II game for Xbox 360. Frank gives his classic fake Madden voice and Jay provides some color commentary as your agent.
Line of the video has to be:
“He looks like he has been holding on to balls in tight spots his whole life.”
I caught myself just now in a bit of a conundrum, you may ask what that might be and it is that I was excited about playing Too Human for quite some time now, but there has been so much press and fanfare that it is getting to the point of annoying. Too Human first came out to huge acclaim and then people pooped all over it once they got their hands on it. There was talk of the game being too short and not having any replay value. Some have even gone as far to cal it the Haze of the Xbox 360. (Now that is just hurtful)
Denis Dyack also continues to throws his two cents in the mix and now there are countless numbers of reviews for the game and discussion. Too Human for me will be an interesting game and I have chosen to not play the demo and not read any reviews, it is a game that I want to experience for myself. I want to review it for everyone, but I may even refrain from that as well seeing as the reviews out now are all over the place, there is no consensus on the title and now it is just a virtual pissing contest. Apparently Denis Dyack decided in his infinite wisdom to take on an entire forum and defend his already controversial Too Human title. So far it has gotten quite a beating but that does not stop Dyack form publicly going out and pushing his product and slamming anyone who disagrees. I don’t mind him standing up for his title but I think calling out an entire forum is childish and I know it creates publicity for his title and may even make people by it, but is uncalled for. Plus I happen to like NeoGAF.
When asked why he chose to shout out NeoGAF he had this to say:
NeoGAF is considered to be the worst, and I would say is probably the worst forum. And so, you might as well pick the worst one. Why not? So, that was the idea of that. Forums in general… The US military has really stopped using text because it resulted in too many instances of insubordination, so forums in general are just negative. There are some positive ones, but in general they’re negative, and people need to understand that, because there’s a very vocal minority that is generally negative and you’ve just got to let that stuff go. That was the reason why.
Are you thinking of grabbing Fable II pretty soon? Well it is no surprise to most that Fable II released a series of mini Pub Games to help promote the title before launch and give gamers an opportunity to build up some cash before even getting their hands on the game. Looks like there is a bit of a bug in the Pub games right now that allows players to become virtually rich very fast by allowing you to bet the minimum but cash in the maximum. This needs to be patched soon or you will have a bunch of rich Fable players even before the game launches.
The game in question is the Fortune’s Tower card game, and all you need to do is bet the lowest amount before you deal cards (15 chips), and then immediately hit the left bumper after you select “Deal.” This will max out the bet, but the only amount taken out of your pot is the initial 15.
I’ve been able to replicate this in all of the Fortune’s Tower games I’ve played — you eventually unlock new tables that allow higher bets — as well as in the tournament mode. And yes, I’m racking up quite a bit of gold, thank you.

There are a total of 12 achievements totalling up 200 points with 9 Single Player Achievements and 3 Multiplayer Achievements. Most are available in Coop mode which is a nice touch and will promote some good old fashioned fun with Duke. My favorite is the “Shake it Baby” achievement, Duke you scamp.

All I can say is that I need this now! This guy took an orignal NES shell and made it into a full PC with Wifi, an HDD, USB hub and you can even use the original controllers on it. This makes me want to go onto Ebay and grab an old NES for nostalgic reasons. If this guy goes into business he could be rich pretty fast. Great skills, check it out!
