Medal Of Honor Coming October 12th

The legendary first person shooter Medal Of Honor series has always been set in and around World War II (years 1939 to 1945).  That’s it.  EA just announced that October 12th, 2010 marks a complete reboot of the Medal of Honor franchise, bringing it into modern times.  So yes, it’s going to show it’s take on modern warfare.  The new game looks to be set in Afghanistan and parts of the Middle East.  Most of the trailers I’ve seen of the game include sand, caves, small huts, and camels.  It has to be the Middle East right, because why would they set a Medal of Honor game in Arizona?

Medal of Honor couldn’t have timed this reboot to come at a better time.  Infinity Ward is having a falling out, Treyarch is making the next Call of Duty game (probably set in Vietnam), Battlefield: Bad Company 2 will have worn off, and we’ve got a lot of developers giving their own take on the modern warfare genre.  This means there will be competition going forward between developers.  The beneficiary for all of this?  That’s us.  The gamers.

Woot!! I've always love the MoH franchise. I spent countless hours in front of my TV playing MoH:Frontline. Rising Sun was "meh" to say the least, but here's hoping they take it up a notch or two with this one!!
