Nintendo today released the Wii Classic Controller Pro in North America for $19.99. It had previously only been available in Japan, but now North American gamers can get their hands on a more solid “real” controller for the Wii. More and more people are wanting to get past the motion controls and back to pressing buttons with a two handed controller on the Wii, so Nintendo obliged.
You can either pick up the controller on its own in white or black or snag the $59.99 bundle of Capcom’s Monster Hunter Tri which includes a black version of the Classic Controller Pro.
Here’s my beef with this controller. At this point, most people have either grabbed a Gamecube controller or just don’t care anymore. I’m in the latter boat. I would have loved to have this when Smash Bros. came out, but at this point, I don’t even touch the Wii console (that was carefully worded for a reason). My other issue is this being a controller wired to the Wii Remote. Why can’t Nintendo make this an independent wireless controller?
Since you know how I feel about it, we want to know how you feel. Sound off in the comments. Are you picking up the Wii Classic Controller Pro?

No, I am not getting the Pro controller. I am perfectly happy with my WIRELESS Gamecube controller!
I currently have no plans to buy this. The only game I have that might benefit for having this controller might be TvC. BTW that bit about the Wii console made me lol.
Ya sorry Wii you're not getting any more of my money until I see the new Zelda come out
If it was wireless the controller would have been 1) more expensive and 2) bigger. I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this thing, it looks brilliant. Awesome how Nintendo opened up design of the controller to Capcom for Monster Hunter as well, would Sony or MS do that? Hell no. Major kudos.
