I’ve been playing the shit ton out of the new Borderlands: Secret Armory of General Knoxx DLC. I just can’t get enough of it! It’s everything I’ve ever wanted in a DLC. More gameplay, more awesome guns, more enemies to kill, more vehicles, just more everything! I’m almost finished with my first play-through for my review here on Loot Ninja, and one thing I came across was a glitch that happened right before you enter the armory with all of the chests and precious loot.
The way the game is supposed to work is you start a countdown sequence in the armory and you have two and a half or three minutes to grab as many guns and open as many chests as you can. This glitch allows you all the precious time you need.
What you have to do is right before you head into the General Knoxx Armory after you’ve defeated him, you’ll go down a small door through a hallway to a little elevator at the end. Take this up and go through the next section (just past the color coded lock on the door). After you go through the door and take a left, you will see a bunch of the red magnetic shield walls that prevent you from opening up all of the lockers and deposit boxes behind them. Turn around back towards the color coded door, and you should see a grate on the floor that looks like there is a little platform underneath. This is where it gets fun and glitchy. If you are facing back down the hallway, away from the red shields looking at the elevator, you will want to go to the right side of the hallway and crouch. The one you need to look for is the last grate right as you head past the red shields. There is a little notch in the floor from where the ground meets the silver grate, so this is where you need to aim.
Now, slowly make your way towards the grate and if you hit the sweet spot, you will be sucked down under the floor. Turn towards a few pipes and you are now able to drop in to the Secret Armory of General Knoxx! Guess what? You didn’t set off the timer! This means you have unlimited time to go around and open up EVERY, SINGLE, CHEST in that place!
I’ve done this on play-through one and gotten okay and shit-tastic weapons, but going through on play-through 2 netted me a backpack full of great weapons, shields, and class mods. All you have to do is make sure you are able to get to the General Knoxx Armory on play-through 1 or play-through 2 and this glitch should work.
The way to get out of the armory and get back to the game is to quit the game and exit out to the main menu, or kill each other and re-spawn at the nearest New U-Station. Either way, you’ll be keeping all of that precious loot you found. Hurry up and enjoy the great Borderlands weapons Loot Ninja gamers, we don’t know when this might get patched.

You can also do this again in a Marcus quest where you can run back through it HOWEVER, If you go past a certain part where there's a small circular room to more boxes, The Steal Loot box gets check and you cannot go back to set the bomb and complete the mission therefore it becomes an official "bugged" quest. Still very nice though i got a heck of a lot of oranges, most were the unyielding firepower revolvers, or the hold your ground forever assault rifles and the Hellfire combustions, i got 2 and already have one. I now have 6 of the revolvers…
hopefully they don't patch it, as it seemed weird to have a huge amount of boxes that were spawned high where as it would be impossible to reach them if your clearing out the entire place even with 3 people helping you out..with that I only turned around and fell into the gap..
There is also a glitchy door that does not open but when you can go through it and fall to a pit where you cannot do anything but exit the game.

The OP was a how to and you still asked… just thought your would like to know that your error in perception may look like stupidity to others, and that could end up costing you. Just trying to help you help yourself so we can all help each other.

Mike, you beat me to it. So far the only way I know to UNglitch it is to go through the quest with a friend who has it. In response to the post two above me, now you can see what your stupidity looks like to others.

like a dick i triggered the "steal loot" part of the mission now i cant bloody get back in as there a massive door blocking the way… i can fix it by going online with someone who hasnt do it yet then completeing it but i cant be arsed. does anyone please know an easier way unlock the door so i can get the achievement for doing all the missions please

Same here…if you have already glitched it i think there is no other way. What im doing is making a mule acc and leveling him up to 61 and having him be the person that has it so i can get back in it did do that to me and my friends in the first looting so i thought it would work again… Got a bunch of unfathomable weapons though…quite worth it. The only way to do it is to have one person sit next to the button and have the other peolpe glitch through the floor. This would allow the time to be the stopped and the other people could grab loots and when it was thru the person on top could hit the button starting the time and finishing the quest.
Having one person stay above while others are looting didn't work. The game tells you everyone has to be there to arm the bomb.
there is a way but u need a xbox 360 data transfer kit which is about $15 then u can use a mod programe to fix it by deleting the mission =)

answer to all your questions:modding is easy for borderlands yet very pointless,yes we all know that all you do in it is try to find the guns that are worth $9,999,999, and to top it off this game is to easy for any mods or glitches. p.s. im level 1677 =P send msg to my GT il show u all.
Is it possible, if you accidentally triggered the "steal loot" box during your second playthrough, to go back to your first playthrough and get the achievement there?
do u think if u delete the DLC and redownload it u can restart the quest?
Here's an easy tip to get out of the armory after you glitch it. Find a rocket launcher. Shoot at feet. Kill self. You respawn out before the general fight room. Then getting everyone to the timer start is easy. Try messing with everything when exploiting glitches people.

in the armory, i came across a stair case and a door at the end.i past right through it and now im stuck.it looks like there has been an elevator there and there is a high ledge to leave and icant kill myself(i have 2 drop a gun) and i cant grenade jump(i ran out off grenades)i dont want 2 to lose any progress
