Well well well, what do we have here? Most of us here at Loot Ninja got into the Xbox 360 Dashboard Preview Program and have been playing around with all the new features. The Facebook app tells me that my login credentials are wrong, but otherwise, I’m having fun. We’ll be putting it through its paces a bit more, then bringing you our thoughts.
How many of you out there got into the Preview Program? If so, how do you feel about the updates? Does it jazz you up?
I got in and played around a little last night. I found Facebook a little sluggish, but hopefully that will get fixed.
I was also surprised to see the zune marketplace, since I didn’t think that was coming to Canada, but maybe they just meant there would be no streaming movies in Canada.
Not that I plan on using Last.FM, since it seems pretty useless if you can’t use it in game, but I don’t remember seeing it… maybe it too is a US only feature?
My verdict? Meh…
I didn’t. I figured it would be forced on me at some point anyway.
I got it but realised a big problem. Facebook, Twitter + Last.FM are for adult accounts! AHHHH

I got in, but I don’t use Facebook and rarely update my Twitter account. LastFM was a huge draw for me, but unless you’re a LastFM subscriber you have to sit through commercials. Also, I couldn’t select specific songs from my library – I could play my library on random shuffle but couldn’t pick a particular song to play.
Overall, pretty meh. And to answer the guy above, you can find a link to sign up at the offical Xbox website.

Sign up is closed and was like three days after it was annouced. I am loving it everybit of it expect the fact that:
You can do party trailer watch.
You should be able to rent a group movie fee for like 8 friends instead of every single person paying whatever price.
You should be able to party game video watch.
I wish these were more like widgets instead of channels, because it would be nice to update these on the fly in the middle of games. I know that would be difficult, but meh microsoft could do it.
Also I noticed facebook and twitter are not keeping my settings so they are not updating my status based on what I am doing on my xbox.
I mean to say Can’t do party watch.
i got the update yesterday and so far not problems with the preview. I like the facebook very much. i can see my friend photos on big screen and comment. Xbox live is so much fun now.
I’m pretty stoked about the updates. Don’t care too much about Facebook, though. I’ve heard some pretty rough reviews of the Facebook stuff already.
Can you still get the update if they didn’t automatically download it? I have the community channel just not any of the programs in it !! I’m mad cause I got an email from xbox about it but I can’t get it!! What is that program for?
