Checking out the developer diary for Halo Waypoint has me thinking this is mainly a portal for fanboys. The new service, launching November 5th, will allow you to get Waypoint awards for earning Achievements in Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo Wars. What do these awards get you? A whole lot of nothing, just like Achievement points. But hey, a whole heap of people really really like Halo, so I’m sure this will get used a lot. Personally, I’ll probably use it just as much as I use Home on my PS3.
So it’s an electronic trophy case for Halo nerds?
