When I attended the EA Blogger’s Day event last month, I got to see a cool new application for the DSi using MySims characters. We were told we couldn’t talk about it but the embargo has been lifted and EA has finally released the MySims Camera. If you’ve ever played with a DSi you know that it includes a camera that can take photos from either side of the DS. Once taken you can add stickers and frames and make them fun. The MySims Camera take it a step further by taking 3D versions of the MySims characters and bring them into the real world. They can be moved and rotated, scaled and cropped to fit the photo. The photos can be saved on the SD card and be shared with others. The MySims Camera app is available now through the Nintendo DSi store.

Special note: I just visted the Nintendo DSi store to get my copy of this app (because I liked it) and found out that if you have a new DSi and you connect to the store by today (Oct 5th) you can get 1000 free points. So I did this and got my free points and bought the MySims Camera with 200 of those points. That was super cool!!! I still have 800 points to spend.
