Review: Penguin United Electroflow Inductive Charger (Wii)

I’ve always wanted one of these inductive chargers. They seem so awesome. No plugs, no connectors that have to line up properly. Just place down and Voila!! Charge!! I have had very little experience with PU products, so that heightened my curiosity. Let’s see if that curiosity was rewarded.

Well, let’s see. Yep, it worked. I peeled off my protective cover, replaced the batteries with the charge pack, put on the Wii condom back on and started charging. Within an hour or so my controllers were fully charged and ready to go. The fact that I don’t have to remove my silicon jacket ever again is reason enough for a purchase. The cradle is formed perfectly and fits controllers with or without the Wii Motion Plus adapter. The Li-Ion battery lasts up to Fourteen hours.

Overall I can recommend this charge station for purchase. As far as inductive chargers go this does everything right – but nothing special. It didn’t burn down my house which was a plus. I was going to give it five stars but when asked, the charge station refused to make me a chicken pot pie – even after I called it a bitch and slapped it. Also it didn’t come with an instruction booklet. I know there isn’t a ton of guess work involved with these things, but idiots DO exist people, and PU seems to have overlooked that.

  1. What do the battery covers look like? Are they similar to that of the originals?
