Aion Early Start? Eh…

I’ve always found it curious how every modern MMORPG launch manages to mess something up.  To be fair, MMORPGs have become a much more popular gaming medium over the past few years, but still – shouldn’t developers be anticipating this kind of shit by now?  Especially when you’re selling pre-orders for early access, isn’t that at least a way to gauge the amount of people that will want to play the game?

I spent the better part of my Sunday night trying to get into the Aion servers, only to be greeted with a thirty minute plus login queue.  Pretty retarded, considering the population seems to be spread out enough.

Oh well.  Here’s hoping that I can actually get into the game and play some tonight!

  1. It seems like any major online game these days is plagued with server issues from the start.

  2. Eh, Warhammer had a decent launch. Too bad that game was shit.

Wow you only had a 30 minute wait? Lucky… :/

When I tried logging into Zikel last night at around 7 PM EST, I was stuck in a queue for 3 hours and didn’t get in until around 10 PM.

I definitely agree companies like NCsoft should know better by now.
