The Beatles to Save Viacom?

I caught a few minutes of a blurb on Bloomberg about Viacom banking huge on the The Beatles: Rock Band release this week. You can catch it here. MTV Games is a subsidiary of Viacom and they are expecting to make their year on this one title. As the video says this is expected to turn around last months 46% slump in sales. That is one hell of a turn around for one title.

After 40 years do The Beatles move you enough to buy the new Rock Band and help Viacom out?

• Hell Yeah! I buy every possible music game!
• I might, because hey man, it's the BEATLES!
• Beat who? Beat it? Michael Jackson? Chris Brown? Rihanna? Where are my pants?
• Screw Viacom and the MTV whores.

   I think it’s less of The Beatles Rock Band and more of the re-releases of music and the potential of their catalog hitting iTunes later today.
