Just off the heels of news that Dragon Age: Origins was pushed back a couple weeks for release in November, we get news that EA is offering some pretty substantial bonuses when you purchase the game new instead of buying it used, and this, of course, includes pre-orders. If you buy the game used after release, you’ll have to shell out hard-earned cash for the same DLC.  Hit the jump to see the new game and pre-order bonuses.

• “The Stone Prisoner” download pack, which gives you an exclusive character to add to your party, and adds new environments and items (this will cost $15 if you buy used and want to download it).
• “Blood Dragon Armor”, which is an exclusive set of armor that can be used in Dragon Age: Origins (obviously) and Mass Effect 2. That’s right, you heard me.
• Memory Band, an item that gives you +1% experience and gives you an extra bonus point (where are we, in junior high?) that you can use to boost your character’s skills.

By the sound of it, the first item on the list is what you get for buying the game new, pre-order or not. The other two items, since they don’t have a price attached, appear to be specific to the pre-order.  We’ve heard before that you would get an exclusive item for use in Mass Effect 2 if you pre-order Dragon Age: Origins, so that’s not a shock. I’m really tempted to pre-order, but I have enough going on already with the three games I already have on pre-order for October. Maybe if they pushed this back even farther into November or December, but I wouldn’t wish that on those of you who want to get your hands on this game ASAP.
