Ever since Sony introduced Trophies on the PS3, gamers have been begging Konami to patch Metal Gear Solid 4 to include Trophies. They’ve been pretty hush on the subject… until now. In the latest Kojima Productions podcast, Sean Eyestone dropped some wisdom.
I just wanna tell everybody out there right now that your voices are being heard and that we’re not ignoring you. We hear everything that you are saying. It’s just that we can’t say anything just yet.
So, yeah, that’s a big “no comment”. Metal Gear Solid released over a year ago (June 12, 2008 to be exact). At this point, do you really see yourself going back and playing the game again? Sure, it’s an amazing single player experience and I’ve played through it twice, but I can’t see myself playing again just to boost my Trophy level. I know there are Trophy Whores and Achievement Whores out there, but for everyone else, do you even care anymore? Will you go back to Metal Gear Solid 4 if Konami adds Trophies?

I know there is this little bar on my browser labeled “Google” for a reason but I’d rather ask here and be lazy. Has there been any word on whether there will or won’t be a MGS 4 port (subsistence-style) for the 360? I know around December Konami came out and denied that there were any plans (although they conspicuously avoided saying never) at the time but has there been any word since?
MGS 4 will never be ported to the 360, I think Konami petty much said it at E3.
I would go through it again if they put in some trophies. Otherwise I doubt I’ll touch MGS4 anytime soon. Good game, but not one you just sit down and play for a few minutes or just randomly start in the middle somewhere.
I’d go through it again. I do like the look of trophies and if they added in a trophy such as ‘Achieve Big Boss Emblem’ then at least people will see on my account that I have the Big Boss Emblem. Ok I’d probably have to get the emblem again but I don’t mind. Konami if you see this, please bring out trophies as soon as you can. I fail to see how you will not profit from it
I won’t play it again BECAUSE they add trophies…I’ll play it again when I feel like it and pick up trophies along the way.
