Event – 2009 Midnight Gaming Championships Summer Tour

Midnight Gaming Challange

Midnight Gaming Championships Summer Tour is kicking off it’s fourth year of events all around the U.S. They have new partners, venues, and games on the tour for 2009. What does this mean to you? Well, friendly competittion, and if you are good enough, free stuff!

The M.G.C. kicked off its fourth annual national gaming tournament on Saturday, June 27 at the Hot Import Nights event in Charlotte, NC. They have a TON of event locations this year, including Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Boston and Philadelphia. Games on the slate for 2009 include Guitar Hero World Tour, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Madden 09 and the Fast and Furious mobile phone game. Seriously?

In their fourth year of operations, the M.G.C. is going all out and providing an even bigger and better experience for us, the gamers, to compete in the most popular games on the market today. MGC has grown to be huge event. Attendees from coast-to-coast will be able to compete at various McDonalds locations and at Hot Import Nights events. Most importantly (to you and me) gamers will compete to win cash and prizes, not to mention bragging rights for the title of Best gamer in their city (Sheesh, what more could you want? Oh yeah, FREE STUFF).  At Hot Import Night events and other special events, Midnight Gaming will also offer Call of Duty competitions.

Now, for you gamers out there that just sit at home night after night and play games in the basement, STOP. Get out, and support the businesses that are trying to make gaming MORE popular. These are the organizations (besides the gamers) that pour money into the industry, and we as gamers can benefit from their dollars. For instance, this sweet gaming opportunity that is FREE, and gives you the chance at some free stuff. The prizes include CASH (cha-ching!) $25 McDonalds Gift Cards, T-shirts, and other various and sundry items. You can also enter the Ultimate Gamer Sweepstakes (2 Southwest Airlines tickets, 2 tickets to the Video Gamer Awards, plus an Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, and *GASP* a PS3!) just by pre-registering (also free) for any of the events online.

Gamer forums for each game, game play overviews, rules and other information is available at www.midnightgamingchampionship.com.

So, get out of the basement, put on some pants, and get out to an M.G.C. event near you. I’ll be covering at least one of the two events in Oklahoma City over the next two weekends in August. If any of you out there want to come by and get your game on, I’ll see you there!  *BLARGH*
