One of the biggest names in the casual gaming sector is PopCap games. They’re behind the massive hits Bejeweled, Peggle, etc. Starting today, their games are coming to the PSN.

Previously, PopCap only distributed their games on the PC and Xbox 360. Today, Bejeweled 2 will be the first tilte from their Library to be available on the PS3 for $9.99. Coming soon will be Zuma, Heavy Weapon, Peggle and Feeding Frenzy. All of these are terrific titles.

In the future, most PopCap games will see simultaneous releases on the Xbox 360 and PS3, but for now, it’s all about playing catch-up. The coolest part, in my opinion, is that PopCap is integrated Remote Play into these titles so you can play via your PSP. Good stuff.

Sony Online Entertainment and PopCap Games Announce Publishing Agreement that Brings Five New Titles to the PSN

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. – Jan. 29, 2009 – Sony Online Entertainment LLC (SOE) and PopCap Games Inc. announced an exclusive publishing agreement that will bring five hit titles to the PlayStation®Network, with the first, Bejeweled® 2, being available immediately for download in North America with European versions to follow at a later date.
