If you’re an Xbox Live Gold member, you can fire up your 360 and get the Resident Evil 5 demo. It shouldn’t take you too long to download at 473mb.
You’ll get to go through two early levels of the game, Assembly Place and Shanty Town, in both single player and online co-op. Grab a buddy and rock this one out.
PS3 owners will get to play the demo next Thursday, so be patient and don’t start a fanboy flame fest. We’ll be playing the demo later today and will have impressions for you tomorrow.
Checklist for RE5:
1) Good graphics – Check.
2) Online Co-Op – Check.
3) The shooting of colored economically-challenged minorities shown to my neighbors to cause some sort of riot- Check.
I can guarantee that as much as this game is going to, undoubtedly, kick serious ass, the race issue in the game is going to get more press than actual gameplay. It’s sad to say but I can already see major protesting going on after the game’s release.
