We know that Microsoft paid out the ass for some exclusive Fallout 3 downloadable content. One of those packs, coming in March, is set to extend the gameplay past the end-game. Currently, once you hit the main storyline’s ending, the game is over. In past Bethesda adventures, like Oblivion, you were able to keep going just roaming around the world and completing side quests.
While the Xbox 360 version will get this expansion (which also raises the level cap to 30), there’s no plans on bringing any of this to the PS3. That means Fallout 3 owners on Sony’s console, like myself and BJ, are getting the shaft. MTV Multiplayer asked producer Todd Howard if the PS3 version will get this cap removed, to which he responded “Not at this time, no.”
Could we possibly see his in the future on the PS3? Who knows. I think exclusive DLC is one thing, but making a level cap exclusive or only removing the end-game cap on one console is a bit shortsighted. All it’s going to do is piss off a portion of your user base.
I hate to say it, but I blame Sony for not putting up the money for this content. Sure, Microsoft’s a bunch of scammers and backstabbers, but they show a clear interest in bringing top gaming experiences to their users. I’m still a die-hard ps3 fan, but I’m suspicious of the intent and wisdom of all the members of the Sony administration..
It isn’t good news for PS3 owners. Sony has not done a great job of software/developer support.
seems like sony is just playing the waiting game. letting microsoft blow its load on all the exclusives now while sony just sits and takes the hit in the short term. the playstation is a superior piece of hardware that has a much longer life span than the 360. they may simply be waiting for the games to surpass the 360s capability, which many are going to do this year. at which point they score a lot of new business without spending a ton to do it.
Yet another example of Micro-sith trying to eliminate the competition by throwing money at the problem.
i had to play fallout 1 and second also tactics all the best but this is different dont like more look like shuting game so all before where a lot beter then this one no other words just crap
