If you have any gift cards for Circuit City, I’d start spending pretty quickly. As of Friday, all of the company’s store will be up for liquidation.
We’d previously reported that Circuit City was looking for a buyer and that liquidation was an option, but we found out late this past week that all stores will be closing and liquidation firms are moving in.
While this definitely sucks for many many people who will be losing jobs (I know quite a few of them), you will be able to snag some store remnants for cheap. Right now, sales aren’t that great, but give it a few weeks and prices will fall rapidly. Everything has to go, so go in there next month and try to get a cheap HDTV.

They have already put CD’s DVD’s and Blu Ray at 20% off and this is just a few days after the announcement. Wait a few weeks or so and you will see the savings really roll in.

that sucks about the people losing their jobs, but. i cant say im not happy about gettin a hdtv for my bedroom at a reduced price
Its not surprising to see this happen. When i go into Circuit City, Best Buy, etc.. prices are always way higher than if you buy the same thing online. Often i’ll go into the store, check out a product, and then buy it from Amazon and save 25-50% .. I’ve been using this site to find some good deals online:

@Chris, yeah especially with computer parts at most, Best Buy and Circuit City have the most unvaried selection at high prices that is why I shop at Newegg and etc. But it sucks seeing Circuit City go they had some better service than Best Buy, and the one I go to are next to each other.
EdIt: Well at least Canada is still on their feet through this one. Circuit Cities in Canada won’t be closing and 34,000 employees will be losing their jobs, lol.

I am sad about this news because so many people will be out of job, do you think the economy will get better this year?
Ok I will state thatI work at BestBuy, but I have nothing against Circuit City. And if you can find an HDTV for cheap thats awesome and I know you can pr atleast will be able to soon, just be warned that all sales are final.
