To whet your teat some, here are a few screenshots from the new DLC soon to be available for Fallout 3.
For those of you unaware, there are 3 DLC bundles coming for Fallout 3. These screenshots are for the first of the DLC, Operation: Anchorage, available sometime in January for Xbox 360 (800 Microsoft Points) and PC. Sorry PS3 users, Microsoft paid for some exclusivity here. Operation: Anchorage will be a military simulation, similar to the Tranquility Lane quest, in which you will battle the communist Chinese to liberate Alaska, a mission from the Fallout lore.

Why do we love this DLC before it’s out? Because it will bring us Ninja Armor in Fallout. Check out the sexy Ninja.

More DLC in the shape of The Pitt, an entrance into the remains of Pittsburgh, an industrial raider haven which the Brotherhood of Steel faced a fierce battle in before making their way to the Capital Wasteland. The Pitt is due out sometime in Febuary.
For the last of the announced DLC, Bethesda gives love in the form of Broken Steel where you will continue past the storyline ending of the main game and join the Brotherhood of Steel and finish off the Enclave. Broken Steel gives gamers the opportunity to level up their characters past the current cap of 20 to level 30. It will also allow gamers to wander the Wasteland after completing the quest, and address the complaint from the old school Fallout fans of not being able to see the impact of your actions in the game. Your Broken Steel love is expected in March.
Personally, I am very excited. You should be too.

sounds exciting, but 800 MS points each for 3 different DLC’s? man, that pretty much blows. It’s almost like paying for a whole other game. I can only search so many toolboxes and lockers before it gets kinda old. I may download it in a few months when prices drop…but thats a big maybe, considering i’m probably gonna get the new halo map pack.
From the press I have seen to date each DLC provides it’s own storyline/main quests. So it will not be just one side quest, but a string of quests similar to the main storyline of Fallout 3. Realize two of these provide new areas to explore, Anchorage & Pittsburgh, which I hope will each be near the size of the Capital Wasteland. New areas to explore, new items, new quests, etc; with all that I think it would be worth the 800 MS Points.
I’m really exited for this DLC. I think in the meantime I’m going to go back and finish every single side mission Fallout 3 has so I know I’m ready to play these.
Oh I also want to go get all of the “special guns” like lincolns repeater, the alien blaster, etc, that I haven’t gotten yet.
I started a new game but said F-it , going back to a previous save game and getting everything then beating the game again.
The Ninja Armor looks badass, can’t wait for the release of the DLC regardless of the price.
i would have loved to buy these, but thanks to m$ i dont have the chance…
if your game is multiplat its ridiculous to have exclusive dlc for one party. just make the game fully exclusive.
I don’t want to hear ANY complaining about how many MacroHard points you have to spend to get it. It’s EXCLUSIVE to you. At least YOU can get it. The PS3 owners are all SCREWED because of the exclusivity. That is absolute BS.
