Don’t worry, it’s not just you. Ever since Club Nintendo open the gates to North America there have been problems. The inability to log in to the site coupled with surveys randomly logging users out, it’s no wonder they have taken the site down for maintenance.
It’s probably best that the site is down, at least for now. Imagine all of those lucky gamers receiving Wii Fit this holiday season trying to log in and get their gold coins to no avail. Nintendo’s support would be flooded with complaints galore! Hopefully the bugs will be worked out by sometime next year and we can get back to registering games. In the meantime go play the games, it’s more entertaining than registering them, trust me.
That stinks
1.7M units sold in December. How much longer will this maintenance take? I didn’t experience the poor performing site previously reported. My concern is that the site has been down much longer than 24 hours. Unless all the problems are resolved there will still be many unhappy users. Especially all those new users who have documentation urging them to visit Club Nintendo but they can’t. Terrible. This site better be fabulous when it finally opens up again.
The site being down is poor at best. Nintendo making millions of dollars and can’t afford a decent engineer for the site. ARGGG!!! Rumor has it that they are setting the link to the wii channels and survey spot. Whatever. Hope for better New Year, a New Engineer (programmer), and double reward points for waiting.
