Last, but certainly not least of the big three consoles, is the Xbox 360. A very solid year for games on Microsoft’s platform this year to go along with the major console shift with the New Xbox Experience. Let’s see who came out on top.
Coming in third place is Grand Theft Auto IV from Rockstar Games. GTA IV set the bar for open world games with it’s involving story, crisp graphics and physics, and all around fun gameplay. Couple that with some solid multiplayer modes and I can’t imagine many people not wanting to own this game.

Second place goes to Bethesda’s Fallout 3. This action RPG set in a post-nuclear Washington, DC provides countless hours of enjoyment and you’ll definitely want to keep coming back for more.
And in first place for Loot Ninja’s 2008 Game of the Year for the Xbox 360 is Gears of War 2 from Epic Games. Gears 2 steps it up in so many ways from the original with an amazing campaign, fun multiplayer gameplay, and Horde mode which will be played for many months to come. Congratulations, Epic!
After a short Christmas break, we’ll be back with our biggest disappointment of 2008. Stay tuned!

Of course the big bad Gears of War 2 takes the #1 spot
No Left 4 Dead?
