It is again time to affix the thinking cap and try to speculate on what the hell this announcement means. I was one of the first to decipher the Halo:ODST trailer and I hope to be on of the first to do this as well.
Okay.
Things of significance:
1. This is not fake. It is from Konami so it is not a joke.
2. The color is green. Green can mean go, or… it could mean… dare I say… Xbox 360?
3. The numbers strongly resemble binary code, but 1 and 1 do not equal zero in bin code and a zero means power off/closed circuit/negative response.
4. They use exclamation points in both directions. The upside down exclamation points are used in Spanish. The normal exclamation points appear over heads of enemies when they see you.
I am making these two quantum leaps.
1. They will be releasing a remake of MGS2 for the PS3. The two exclamations stand for the numeral II. People would go batshit for a remade MGS2 and knowing how long it would take Kojima to make a MGS5, I do not think they will use a new story here and announce that so soon. MGS2 coming to PS3.
2. Now for the super reach. MGS4 is coming to 360. I know… I do not want that either. But… the two points are 180 degrees inverse of one another. Could Konami be making a 180 degree turn so to speak and doing what we all thought impossible? Also, the green was done deliberately. Whether it is to throw us off and get into fits, who knows?
3. SPOILER ALERT. If you have not beaten the game, skip!! For those who do know… Snake is still with us. He has 6 months to live. 6 months to the day is Dec.12. That is next Friday. Expansion pack could be coming… to truly finish the story.
Either way, more Metal Gear is coming and that is never a bad thing. What do you guys think this means? Holla at us and let us know.

Who really knows at this point. I have a feeling we’ll find out either way next week with the 6 month anniversary of MGS4 right around the corner.
MGS4 for 360 would be hot. That is what came to mind when I first saw it. Something about the combo of green and the circle.
[...] Well I have to make this quick, but I guess I should tell all the dudes and dudettes about this Metal Gear tease. Check out the bros over at Loot-Ninja for details and speculation about what’s next for Snake [...]
[...] Konami took the proverbial sheet off the big Metal Gear reveal this morning; the series is coming to the iPhone/iPod Touch in the Spring of 2009. Steve definitely didn’t see that one coming. [...]
