I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy NXE Update Day from all of us at Loot Ninja. It has been a long wait but it’s finally here.
This post was created for everyone out there in Xbox land with an internet connection and a storage device. It is here for you folks to chime in throughout the day or week, whenever it is you finally get the elusive update, and tell us what you think. How did your download go? What do you think of the avatar system? Are you going to try out Netflix? Whatever it is that pops into your brain about NXE we would like to hear it. Don’t be shy, feel free to share the positives and the negatives of your New Xbox Experience with us.
Download went perfectly fine. So far, nothing to complain about. Did my avatar. Who knows if I’ll change it later. “Installed” GOW2 and it truly does seem to copy the entire disc as it takes up 6.8GB. Wow! Didn’t take too long to copy though. So, those with 20GB HDDs, you can realistically only install one game ( not talking XBLA ).
Been using it for a while and am liking most of the new features. Avatars are just okay. I’ve installed a couple games and really like not hearing the DVD drive cranking a ton when you’re playing the game.
My 20 gig drive has barely enough space to install one game. I won’t waste my time with it.
The avatar thing is a blatant ripoff of Miis, which I enjoyed for maybe a week or so before getting sick of them also.
I’m not sure this NXE has anything I would really find useful.
So far so good on my end also. I am amazed there haven’t been more reports of some sort of issue. Microsoft always has issues with this sort of thing, what’s up with that?
Netflix rocks over NXE! The Office FTW!
Totally diggin’ the new experience. Bug free so far to. Does that even happen? Huh.
