You know, as geeky as it sounds to some, World of Warcraft is, by far, one of the best online experiences I’ve had in gaming. I definitely don’t talk WoW in front of women, though. It’s probably the best way to avoid getting laid in the real world. The game itself, however, is intuitive, addicting, and just plain old fun, for crying out loud. It’s no wonder why subscriptions have hit over 11 million.
Blizzard has announced that there are now more than 11 million subscriber in World of Warcraft. 11 million. That’s the population of a small country, for those of you who aren’t too familiar with large numbers.
If you haven’t tried out World of Warcraft and aren’t doing so becuase of fear of ridicule, you have good reason. If you’re good at keeping secrets, or just don’t give two fucks about how others perceive you, then I would strongly recommend giving the game a whirl. If you’re looking to get your ass kicked in PvP, please let me know. I enjoy nothing more than kicking Horde ass!

Al got me into WoW. I played on and off for about 2 years. I couldn’t really get hooked though. Currently I’m on Age of Conan, and am having a really good time. I just wish more people were on.
I still think City of Heroes/City of Villains is the best MMO out there, despite the lack of end-game content. The character customization alone blows away every other MMORPG out there, by a long shot.
i prefer content over dressing up my dude anyday, lol.
CoH/CoV is actually a very fun game. It actually encourages teamwork, rather than forcing it on you, so random teams tend to be friendlier than pick-up-groups in other MMOs. Like I said, the only thing a game like WoW has over CoH/CoV is end-game stuff, which requires you to even get a character to that level. Frankly, WoW didn’t keep my attention long enough to get a character past 30. (I had 6 characters in WoW, all mid-20s)
If you suffer from alt-itis, CoH/CoV is a blast.
