If you have at least some vocal ability, much unlike me, you might be excited for this news. Microsoft has released some details regarding the pricing of the Lips bundle and a song list.
The bundle will include two wireless microphones and of course the game for $69.99. Pretty much what we expected for a price range here as you are basically paying $10.00 for two wireless microphones, which is not too shabby. The song list consists of 40 extremely varying tunes plus later DLC to be announced. The one feature that seems to be of great importance is the freestyle mode. Here you will be able to import your own DRM free music from any MP3 player or through the Xbox 360 streaming media library. The imported songs won’t include any lyrics but who needs lyrics anyway for a singing game? Lips is set to release sometime in November.

Yes the title is awful, singing is awful, it is all just very awful! I can’t sing so I hate these games but the wife showed interest so now I am worried we might purchase it. I must keep her attention on Rock Band!
Yeah…Title did sound horn-doggy when I read it. None of those songs really interest me. I’ll stick to an occasional Rock Band. :8-)
this game appears to be terrible in terms of songs available. just get a ps2/3 and get singstar or the american idol karaoke titles. much better.

The best there is clearly Johnny Cash, Duran Duran and Queen.
Some other good artists (R.E.M. etc) but not even close to being good songs by them.
