As the Mac vs PC ads not only become more and more frequent, they have also become somewhat catty and vindictive. The latest ad pits the “everyman” as a PC owner and not spoiled college kids whose parents shell out 2500 bucks for a Macbook Pro so they can chat on myspace and edit their photos. Of course, Mac counters with the overall message that PC’s are outdated business machines that are technologically inept with an excuse for an operating system. Furthermore, if the Mac computer is the dorky kid from Dodgeball and the PC is a 40 something fat guy who looks like a Wendy’s manager, what are the human console equivalents?

The Xbox 360 is the kid who plays games for one reason, sick pwnage. As awesome as that may sound, it can be pretty ridiculous. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve spent hours upon hours playing FPS over Xbox Live and enjoyed every minute of it. Well, almost every minute. The Xbox 360 gamer is the person who will kick your ass in Halo 3, mainly because he has not been outside in 3 weeks, and he will remind you every time he gets a frag. Every time. Xbox 360 will talk shit on top of shit and just when you thought it was over, he calls you a racial slur, recommends your sexual preference, and may have just banged your mom.

The PS3 owner is the gamer who loves technological masterpiece that is itself. While they will never, ever, admit that the gaming library is inferior to the Xbox 360, even though that is sort of apparent these days. They will remind that they have Bluray and you endorsed the Hindenburg that was HD-DVD. PS3 has built-in wireless and Bluetooth and Xbox 360 makes you pay an extra hundred bucks. PS3 has a built-in HDD and Xbox 360 has an HDD that costs three times as much as it should. PS3 is the console of the future while Xbox 360 is the console of right now.
Now, both these statements are generalizations rooted in some truth, but mostly hyperbole and exaggeration. The truth is, both consoles are great, but far from perfect. Nevertheless, if there was no PS3, the Xbox 360 would not be what it is today and vice versa.
I almost forgot.. Hi, I’m Wii and I’m covered in dust. Please clean me off.

What you state is a “fanboy” comment, and now need. If you werent such an arogant xbot you’d know that the PS3 has plenty of quality titles coming out.

You got this article all wrong. PS3 owners are the more fashion-conscious, trendy people, whereas the 360 with its retro XBLA games, Gears and Halo is the console for dorks, rednecks, wiggers, etc. Oh, you do make a good point though with Link for 360- Live is full of 11 year olds who just talk and talk and talk.

ya ummm……sorry dude but when did you write this? Cuz if you did it recently then there’s a seriously time-lag problem your having. This article would’ve been more appropriate about a year ago, actually it’s never really been appropriate, but that was the fad last year. I definitely agree that the Xbox is the console of right now though (what with the global financial crisis and the environment going to shit) The Xbox and it’s red rings are about as unstable as the economy of the U.S. right now. The PS3 has some great games on par with the Xbox’s great titles, the 360 really doesn’t have very many good titles coming out that are exclusive but you look at the PS3 exclusive list and it’s great now and it’s just getting better. haha the last part is definitely true about my Wii though, haven’t used it for anything other than Gamecube games in a year

Where do you get off saying the 360 has a better game library?!? LittleBigPlanet makes EVERY Xbox 360 exclusive look like an outdated pile of crap (Just check Metacritic if you don’t believe me).

LBP will be my choice for the game of the year. No one in their right mind can say its not one of the most original titles ever made.
But.. that doesn’t mean the PS3 has a better library because of one solid title. LBP is an amazing book, but the library is still stronger on Xbox 360.

The great thing about the title “fanboy” is that it is it’s own argument. You can’t argue with it because no matter how valid a point may be as soon as the term “fanboy” is thrown it it just all goes to hell. Your credit is automatically thrown out the window, it’s sort of like whoever thinks of it first and yells “shotgun” wins (but in this case it’s whoever accuses the other of being a fanboy first wins).

wii = tumbleweed. very funny. but yeah, i dont know any nerdy basement dwellers with PS3’s. it is mostly dudes who wanted a blu-ray player and happened to get a console with it. most of these dudes just bought a 1080p tv with their PS3 so if they are nerding it up in the basement, they are cashing some big checks at the online bank haha.
