Portal: Still Alive Coming to XBLA

It’s all good news for anyone out there still interested in Portal.  Today Gamerscore Blog announced that Portal: Still Alive is coming to the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday.  In addition to the complete original game, along with 6 advanced maps, there will also be 14 new challenge maps.  It will cost you 1200 Microsoft Points.

This is definitely worth looking into if you have never played Portal before.  So what do you folks think?  Is this one worth picking up just for the new content?  Personally, I am going to stick with just playing Still Alive in Rock Band while GLaDOS sings that sweet tune.

  1. Might be blasphemous me saying this, but I’ve never played Portal >_> Please, people, please do tell me how ridiculous I am.

  2. The concept seems so simple but having GLaDOS say weird shit the whole time is what makes the game. It’s fantastic, you must give it a try.

1 GLaDOS makes the game complete. In addition, as you play through the game look for bonuses along the way as you can dive MUCH deeper into the Half-Life universe if you look for stuff. There is a presentation near the end of the game on a screen that you can watch which is pretty cool.

  4. i am just starting to play through portal, so dont feel bad dude,

  5. My guild has been exorcised by Al. Now I know I’m not the only jerky who hasn’t played it, yet. I might as well join the club and pick it up this weekend (since Socom: Confrontation is being put on hold).

  6. I just picked up The Orange Box. I played through Half Life 2 in the PC back when it first came out, so I skipped it on the Xbox 360 and missed out on Portal. I’ll probably check it out eventually, just don’t have the time right now.
