We had posted a video of a kid that had taken his love for Halo to the next level and made all of the weapons from the game out of cardboard a while back and unfortunately now he has made news in a worse way. The 11 year old boy Nimm was found shot in his home in Wisconsin. Accounts suggest that he was playing with a .22 rifle and accidentally shot himself in the head and was pronounced dead after 35 minutes of paramedics arrival to the scene.
Our condolences go out to his family and friends here at Loot Ninja. I still say that this boy had a great imagination and this is very unfortunate to have this happen.
One can only hope that this accident does not open sensational accounts of how video games are dangerous for children, unfortunately this seems to be more of a case of careless gun keeping not a violent video game.

That’s sad. It’s a damn shame when a life is lost before the poor kid had a chance to do anything with his life.
It’s also sad that irresponsible gun owners are not teaching their children proper firearm safety. If we had more responsible gun owners teaching their children how to handle, maintain, and safely use a firearm, there would be way less incidents like this one.

Yeah this is sad, I can only hope that Halo does not become a target for pathetic news casters to strike fear into the hearts of parents and tell them how video games are dangerous. Guns are deadly, not games, no one has ever passed away from mishandling a game disc.
From what I hear from various reports, he had taken out the clip but not cleared the round in the chamber. Very very sad.
This is awful. I heard he found a loaded Covenant Carbine. god damn Aliens.
Apparently Halo have posponed the making of the next game, and are proceeding to take the game off the shelves in my home town.
fuck you god damn halo kid, he needed a life anyways now he has one in heaven, or maybe hell, idk, he desereved it that little fucker
@bob – No child deserves to die, that’s just appalling. Parents are 100% to blame when it comes to gun accidents in homes. There is no need to keep weapons loaded and available for your child to accidentally stumble across and hurt themselves. It’s very sad.
@ bob – you are a tool, this poor kid did not deserve getting shot, as Tyler said no child does. just think about the poor kids family that has to celebrate the holidays without him now.
I looked it up and found out that the kid in the video isn’t the same kid that shot himself. Apparently OXM got their facts mixed up, the kid in the video lives in Canada and the one that died unfortunately lives in the UK. Still a tragedy nonetheless.
EDIT: Well, the kid that died might have probably lived in the U.S. not the UK, but it’s still not the same ‘Halo Kid’ for sure.
