A lot of buzz has been circling the upcoming title form EA, Mirror’s Edge, in regards it’s overall great gameplay and most recently a rumor that it would be a timed exclusive. Well recent accounts have dispelled the timed exclusivity of the title for the Sony PS3, but some other news took its place very quickly. Seems that Mirror’s Edge will get exclusive downloadable content on the Sony PS3 because of an agreement that Sony and EA have worked up. No details on what the DLC will be or how it will differ from the Xbox 360 content, but in todays race to more sell units I am sure many PS3 execs are smiling right now. Stay tuned for more on this.
However, Sony did confirm that although Mirror’s Edge is multi-platform, “PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title.
Plus, the spokesperson added, “Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network.”

Write a Comment»I take the promise of future content with a major grain of salt. Look at GTA4… we still haven’t seen or heard anything regarding the first of three expansions the 360 is supposed to get. Most people have completely moved on from the game. I don’t think I ever see anyone on my friends lists playing the game for either system.
But that was M$ that was in charge of the DLC and Rockstar on the other part. In this one we got Sony & EA, I’m sure they’ll deliver early than GTA IV’s DLC. But these DLC isn’t really much if they take really long like Matt said, it’ll just die down and not a lot of people won’t be playing it since they’ll be moving on to better games,
Meh, we all know these comanies don’t give a crap about gamers, only gamers’ wallets. The content will come out eventually, and at a pricepoint that no one will like.
