Famitsu got their hands on the PSP-3000 to check out the new screen, which Sony says has twice the color gamut, five times the contrast ratio, and twice the response time as the PSP-2000 (aka PSP Slim). Judging by the image above, I’d say they’re right. It looks that much better.
Other minor changes include the PS Button replacing the Home button and some curvier sides. Looks pretty damn sexy. I feel like poo that I just bought a PSP Slim (Darth Vader white one) in October and now there’s one with a much better screen. Debating if it’s worth upgrading again… hmmm….

The screen improvement is nice, but not nice enough to make me wanna buy a new PSP. Throw in some built-in flash memory, and/or a faster processor and I would be interested.
It is supposed to be faster…
i’ve used my psp like 5 times ever. it is a little to big for me to carry casually around and my phone is my movie and music hub now, and even though the iphone games aren’t nearly as fun or easy to play as psp titles, i find myself playing them too much to warrant the purchase of another psp upgrade for myself.
and sexy it is!
They should have upped the RAM though.
I really hate pictures like this.
Your PSP Slim…either something’s wrong with it or something’s wrong with your camera/lighting, because mine looks like the bottom one, not the top.
