Reggie Fils-Aime has been getting grilled as of late on the growing issue of the lack of storage space on the Wii. As they release more and more content, our memory space is getting shorter and shorter. Here is a excerpt from a recent interview he gave on said subject.
We have said publicly that we’re looking hard at the storage situation, that we’re working on a range of solutions. We have nothing to announce now. But certainly it’s an issue we are aware of and we’re working to find a solution and we will.
Nothing to announce? That sounds about right. Just keep releasing new WiiWare and Virtual Console games that we cannot buy because our minute sized memory is already at capacity. You just let us know.

lol, this isn’t global warming, it’s a lack of memory. How much thinking is necessary? Just put out a firmware/hardware/whatever update/upgrade that allows us to use external drives.
It shouldn’t be too hard to make the Wii read from the SD card in-game. Let us load shit from there.
I’m not sure if would be a hardware change to allow SDHC cards. If not, that would be a great solution, IMO. I’d grab a 8 or 16gb SDHC card and if I could load games/data from there, it would work perfect
I think you need hardware capable of reading the SDHC. Not every SD reader can read SDHC.
How hard is it to make a hard drive your storage solution.
Apparently they need a few years of research and a focus group, lol.
That guy makes millions of dollars a year. He looks like a sex predator.
He looks more like a serial killer to me.
