And sharing lives isn’t new. a lot of old arcade games shared lives and continues. The most recent being Time Crisis 4.

Damn sharing lives with your teammate? I guess they really wanted people to work as a real team.. I’m not a fan of tanks, but this game got my vote for a demo.
