Nice wrap up guys. Gotta say I agree for the most part. However about M$ copying the Wii and Mii’s by going more casual and copying Sony eyetoy stuff, lets not forget to look at how Sony is now introducing Trophies (acheivments) and all the ingame XMB stuff (which still lacks compared to some dashboard features). And how Wii is slowing moving into online realm with animal crossing and the Wiitalk stuff (Live)

Point is they are all gonna do whats best for them as the market grows so that they can get the most consumers they can reach. So I just dont think its fair to single M$ out.

And Matt made a comment about how the M$ conference was a lil more geared to the casual. I gotta say, starting your show off with LIVE demo’s of 3 of the most mature violent games coming out (Gears 2, RE5, Fallout 3) is not gearing to the casual. It was a loud and bold message that they still have the hardcore games, and yet can still grow into more casual space and still cover all their consumer bases.

It should also be noted that the online avatars is optional aswell, or you can use your Gamerpics and themes. So if you don’t want a wii’d up look. You dont have to.
