Nintendo is second on the chopping block with their press conference starting around noon ET on Tuesday. Here’s what we all think is going to happen:
Matt – They say it’s about the core gamers at this year’s E3, but I’m not sure how much they’ll do on that front. We may or may not see a storage solution (maybe being able to play games off the SD card). I have a feeling a new Zelda game will be announced and possibly sequels for Animal Crossing and Pikman. Just like with Sony, I’m hoping for more integration for the Wii and DS.
Al – I think the game that will be announced on the Wii will be Punch Out, this game makes perfect snese on the console. Aside form that they may discuss a HDD, but more possible would be some kind of multi card reader adapter to at least allow people to hook up different cards or even their own HDD’s. They may go really big and announce the death of friend codes, this would be huge and gamers all over the world would rejoice all at once! I think we will see more Mario inspired games without a doubt and possibly another Wii FIt style game that caters to the casual gamer, do not expect any hardcore titles.
Steve – They need to announce something big here. Wii Fit is great, but we need some games. I’m hoping for a punch-out or a Donkey Kong. I think they will announce a new DS model, or maybe a new handheld altogether. An external hard drive for the Wii. They need to address storage. Also some enhanced multiplayer like a Wii chat.
Did we pick out a good crystal ball? We’ll find out Tuesday…
@Matt’s predictions, I fully concur with what you basically just said. I think it’s highly probable that we”ll see a new Zelda announcing at E3. I saw the timeline and it’s about 2 Zelda game for each console or something like that and so far the Wii has one. And a Animal Crossing isn’t far from being announced either. I gtg, but will read the rest of this post and the MS later. great predictions!
I think this will be one of the least productive E3’s ever.

New zelda or Donkey Kong would be kool I guess. Punch out looks dumb…
I’m tired of Donkey Kong, matter fact I’m getting tired of Nintendo’s franchises except Zelda and I wonder what they”ll offer us this year. Nice to see G4TV won’t be going to commercial ahem.
Nintendo definitely needs to come up with an original franchise. Same old same old just isn’t cutting it anymore.
