In a move to fire up gamers for the 4th of July weekend Activision is releasing a free downloadable track for Guitar Hero 3 on both the PSN and Xbox LIVE and it is the theme from Top Gun. I have to say this is a pretty cool freebie and a great song to play on the guitar, too bad it gets a bit repetitive towards the middle of the song.
This is one of the better DLC songs released especially because it’s free, it is right up there with the Halo song. Listening to this makes me want to go out and do Mach 3 in a fighter plane and eject my co-pilot and break his neck, poor Goose.
If you don’t know what the song sounds like, shame on you! After listening to the cuts from Top Gun I think GH should make a Top Gun themed game, screw Aerosmith! Here it is:
Hit the jump for more Top Gun songs, I just felt inspired after listening to the theme song and also for the official press release:
Danger Zone would have been tight also, especially for Rock Band!
Take my Breath Away, that’s right start swaying!
Classic Phil, another great song for Rock Band, great drums and vocals.
Oh Tom, this was before you believed in Scientology.
Here is the official word:

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggghwwwaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyy toooooooooooo the danger zoooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnneeeeee
I’m not a fan of Tom Cruise or any of his movies. He basically plays himself as (insert job here). A real actor can make you believe he/she is that character, not just himself with 7,000,000 jobs. See Christian Bale for example.
I liked him many years ago, but now uhm don’t get me started about $cientology.
Scientology to me is nothing compared to his terrible acting. Dion Warwick is a better actor than him.
