guitarhero_aerosmith_scr.jpg

We’re about to roll into July and summer is fully upon us. As such, video game releases have slowed to the crawl. Yep, the summer drought is here. This week’s biggest release is Guitar Hero: Aerosmith. The game to shred to almost all Aerosmith tracks won’t definitely be on your buy list, but it’s a lot the best of the week list. Here’s everything you can drop money on this week:

Xbox 360

  • Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
  • Gears of War Refresh (2 Disc Edition)

PS3

  • Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

Wii

  • Guitar Hero: Aerosmith
  • Purr Pals

PS2

  • Guitar Hero: Aerosmith

DS

  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • 1 vs. 100
  • Trauma Center: Under the Knife 2
  • AMF Bowling Pinbusters
  • Ducati Moto

PC

  • The Immortals of Terra
  • Roogoo

Does Aerosmith have enough hit songs to front a whole guitar hero game? or does the game also contain songs from other artists?

It’s mostly Aerosmith with a few other bands mixed in. Here’s the full setlist from the game: http://loot-ninja.com/2008/06/23/complete-setlist-for-guitar-hero-aerosmith-revealed/

I think the first Trauma Center: Under the Knife provided a great visual novel for people who like manga/anime and the game could get addicting and dull at times it was an up and down for me. I gotta see how the 2nd game goes until it’s a buy.

I’m not a big Aerosmith fan, so I think this week is pretty meh.

I wonder what’s up with Atlus they seem to support the DS more than the Wii. Look at the amount of games they have developed/published for the DS and the amount they have for the Wii. Which I recall was only one and it didn’t do so well.

Nvm, I think I know why LOL.

But really Atlus brings the U.S. some good RPGs (Shin Megami Tensei) and they should consider for the Wii and don’t let their last attempt bring them down (Baroque).

Atlus needs to get off their asses and make another Ogre Battle game.

Actually Atlus only publish/distribute the Ogre battle series, Quest is actually the people that developed the game. Other than that I think they really should develope another Ogre Battle game because I didn’t get to try any other ones except the one for GBA.

Ogre Battle 64 was one of the best in the series.
