PS3 2.40 Video Walkthroughs

2.40 is boasting trophy support, in-game XMB access and limited custom soundtracks. Look for this sparkling gem of an firmware update to be released July 2, yes in a couple of days! Go get ready and start ripping Cd’s.

Finally, say hello to the trophies! Trophies give a different spin on playing PS3 games that it was lacking, I have to admit that this is very similar to the achievements on the Xbox 360. Still a great addition and now for multi-platform titles there is a reason to grab the PS3 version instead of just going for achievement points.

The leveling up system is pretty cool. I actually think it’s better than just building up your number of points. Makes your gaming into a real-life RPG. Haha

It does have a feel of real-life RPG, and I’m an RPG fanatic. I wish I had a PS3 -.-

I hope this firmware update really makes the PS3 it’s best for the season and satisfy what the majority of PS3 owners been wanting.
