I don’t think UT3 will be winning anything of the year anytime soon.
And Game of the year belongs to Starcraft II if it comes out this year, we all know that.
I think Blizzard has been one a spree for years for their PC games, all have won awards, I think.
CliffyB says GoW2 will be “Bigger and Better” as I can recall, that’s not enough to cut it, he has a lot of competition in the long run. Look at all the good games that have been released so far and more to come.
Gears of War 2 has a lot to live up to, mainly because the first one’s gameplay was fairly meh IMHO. The duck n cover system needs work. Diving into cover needs work. Lying prone would be nice, especially if you break out the sniper rifle from a great distance. They should borrow Army of Two’s “grab something and use it for a shield” move.
Yeah, a lot of people are saying there’s really nothing new about GeoW other than a polished environment and some battle update. I can’t really entirely judge on this game since I have played a little more than 3/4 of it until my 360 was taken away. But this will look like a strong stable for the 360.
