The PS3 is getting an official Bluetooth headset with SOCOM: Confrontation this fall. The game will be bundled this this pretty little deal which is specifically made for gaming. The headset looks much better than what came with Warhawk.
There’s a mute button on the side of the headset, which should server very well for gaming use (most Bluetooth headsets don’t have this feature). No pricing has been set, but you’ll be able to buy it separately if you don’t want to pick up the game bundle. I’m guessing it’ll be included with the game at $60 and you’ll probably be able to pick it up for around $30. We’ll see how it goes when September rolls around. More pics after the jump.

Looks awesome. Between MGS and SOCOM i’m going to have to finally pick up the PS3… why don’t they have the bigger HD available overseas? bastards!
Will you be able to issue commands to your team in SP like in previous SOCOMs? Why don’t more games make use of this with headsets so prevalent these days?

I like it, too bad I already have the Warhawk BT headset. But if the bundle is $60, I may jump on this one.
I just use my regular bluetooth headset, but it would be nice to dedicate one to just gaming.
If I get this one, I may use the Warhawk one for my cellphone, or vice versa, depending on which one is better.
This one looks like a Jawbone headset, it should cut out exterior noise and be a pretty decent headset.
