So how will that do for a long long time for DVD when it comes to Blu-Ray as the only choice of format to buy for your movies? The market for DVD's is still 10x that of bluray. DVD sales are at a all time high. Bluray as only captured the enthusiast market. And because it'll take years to even see a real gain, there will probably already be a new format come out. If its cheaper than bluray...... RIP bluray. A $50 price drop. If sony cant afford a price drop because of the expensive blu-ray this will be M$ season. Ya know, if they drop the price of PS3, they basically have to drop a whole line of stand alone blu ray players or people will figure out buying a stand alone player is a waste of money. People are not dumb. This puts the PS3 in a awkard spot. As the flag carrier for blu ray. And blu ray sales are still crap and NOBODY I know even talks about blu ray.
