It’s almost football season. Well, not almost, it’s still 2 months away, but that’s close enough for me. We get the first gameplay taste of NCAA 2009. As always, the demos are very limited and this is no different. You get to play a full game with 2 min quarters with OSU and LSU. The controls are tight and usual and there does not seem that much has changed which is not a bad thing. One thing to note is that the play-call screen is not only the A button. You can use four buttons to choose and this takes away the temptation that your buddy looks at your play-screen. Granted you could bluff, but this is much easier.
There were quite a few fumbles and INT. Maybe the game is a little less forgiving than in the past. You can also play as the Mascots as Texas and UF and and every player has 99 rating. Graphically, it looked good. Not phenomenal, but very good. Sports games are so hard to judge from a demo because that they are so limited. On the good side, the game doesn’t suck. I would definitely download this, about 1.4 gb and give it a play. The game hits the stores in mid-July.
