The good news is that Infinity Ward will be getting control of the game back for COD6. The bad news is that we are going to have to wait awhile because COD5: World at War has not been given a release date yet. Word that they will be taking the series into a new direction: science fiction. This could mean anything. Some people think it will be a Starship Troopers kind of thing, others think it will be a futuristic model much like Starcraft and Command and Conquer have been. Its too early to tell, but at least we are not going to be taking back to WW1. As fun as mustard gas and single shot rifles are, using some update weapons is a great thing. You can see I’m still pissed about heading back to the 1940’s.

This rumor could be true and its not too early to label it as a rumor since Infinity Ward has nothing to do with COD5 so they might as get started with COD6. Is it just me or is this handling of the COD series is just back and fourth between Infinity Ward and Treyarch? Infinity Ward seems to be the more superior developer for COD here so I’m starting to lose hope in COD5.
How sci-fi is this going to be? Isn’t that genre pretty well covered by games like Halo, Haze, Bioshock, Doom, Quake, Unreal, etc?
exactly…why?
sci fi COD is a bad move, they have to stick to their roots.
hM so COD5=WWII,COD6=WWIII?
…the f@#$?
I think it would be cool if they set it in the near future. Nothing to crazy advanced, but a little more high tech then today. Set it in like 2050 or something
