It hasn’t been that long and already Crytek has dumped support of their monster PC shooter, Crysis. The upcoming v1.3 patch isn’t going to see the light of day.
At this time, there almost certainly will not be a patch 1.3 delivered for Crysis. We are aware that this news will disappoint many of you, and we would like to apologize profusely. There is a good reason for this and we hope you understand when you hear more about the reasons why in the very, very near future. Please realize this was an extremely difficult decision, but please do know that we are listening to your comments and are making more consistent community support a high priority.
So what exactly is good enough reason to stop supporting the game? Will there be a sequel coming shortly? Maybe a console version? I doubt the game coming to consoles would be understood well by PC gamers. Whatever the cause, it’s pretty crappy that they’re done supporting the game after such little time.

People are gonna want their money back at this rate or go as far as a lawsuit (which I don’t see happening). I read Crysis was one of the most illegally downloaded game and shared so they’re not really making money. Crysis could’ve been a killer app for online if it wasn’t for its system requirement *cough 1gb/2gb of ram cough*.

They will probably announce an add-on pack that has new maps, weapons, and whatnot. It’ll probably cost $20-30, but it will also have patches to old issues.
