The folks over at EA sent Loot Ninja an early download token for their latest multiplayer shooter. With FPS’s already flooding the market, Battlefield will have to show gamers something special to pull them away from COD4. In Bad Company, they did just that. This game is fun as hell to play. Imagine a cross behind Warhawk and Call of Duty 4, but with the originality that made the Battlefield series so popular.
If you like vehicles then this is a must have. Although you can choose to run around on foot, the game’s beauty really lies inside the vast amount of vehicular punishment you can dole out. A nice variety of tanks, APCs, Humvees, Patrol Boats, Helicopters and even gun emplacements and artillery batteries, the game lets you do almost whatever you want. There is a nice balance between the vehicles also. A support troop can easily drop a tank dead in its tracks with some well place RPG shots. Helicopters can be shot down with a gun emplacement.
The game mode that is playable in the demo is called Attack and Defend. The defenders have 6 gold crates that must be guarded. They can be destroyed via weapons fire, which takes some time, or a charge can be placed by anyone. After a minute or so countdown, the crate is destroyed. There are 3 pairs of crates and each pair destroyed yields a new spawn point for the attackers. The attackers have a health bar and every new spawn decreases it ever so slightly. When all 3 pairs are destroyed or the number of spawns is up, the game is over. Playing as the attackers is much more fun and almost always wins.
There are your usual varied weapons classes and additional secondary weapons and upgrades can be unlocked by ranking up in the ranked matches. The game also promises to keep the unlockables attained in the demo in the full version. When this goes live in a few days, you should download the 1.5 GB demo.

its single player in the sense that only one person per console can play at a time, but i played against other people all afternoon.
there is a single player mode which is just against bots, but thats no fun.
I think it could seriously give CoD4 a run for its money as the best online shooter
i am glad to hear you say that matt i remember asking you bout a year ago and you were still up in the air with it i think this game is under the radar and it will blow alot of games out of the water with how deep the story in singleplayer is and the multi side of things arent that shallow either
BF:BC and the upcoming Socom game are looking like they can surpass CoD4.
