Japan gets all the good Wii stuff first and we get to lag behind over here in the US. Finally available today for North American gamers is the Nintendo Channel. This new feature has a bunch of gameplay videos, interviews with key Nintendo Developers, walkthroughs, and even a DS demo download section.
I spent a bit of time playing around with the new channel and it’s pretty cool. You can see some trailers of all the Nintendo first party games for Wii and DS and even a few Virtual Console games. The best part, in my opinion, is the DS demos. To get there, you have to go to the Options section of the Nintendo Channel (the wrench icon). Weird that it was put there, but whatever, it’s Nintendo.
What do you guys think? Is this a good addition? Yes, there are plenty of things that need to be fixed (loading data from an SD card, friend codes, etc), but this is a pretty cool feature.
